Z has discovered her hands the last week or so. She chews on them constantly and gives them the "hey what all can you do" look. She likes to pull mommies hair to steady herself which is lovely...she also pinches... the cute part is when she drags the little blankie/animal deals up next to her face like they are her best friend...SO CUTE!! And now her playmat actually makes noises because of her and not someone sitting next to her moving things for her.
She was a little irritable today. She is trying really hard to master rolling over from back to tummy. She has done it a couple times before but right now she is so intent on learning how to do it. She spent the whole day on her side just trying to get the momentum to make it all the way over. It was adorable but for her very frustrating. She made grumpy noises quite a bit :) and got out her new screams to show her displeasure. Then of course she would get very tired and try to sleep. If the TV is on a kids show she gets really irritable because you can see her struggling between wanting to sleep and the fun noises. It is just like Krissy on Growing Pains when she didn't want to go to sleep because she was sure people were playing with dolls and ponies as soon as she did. Well ok not exactly like that but as close as an infant can come. (Oh, I am sure that episode will pop up again, for some reason that episode really stuck with me probably because I felt the same way at the time maybe not dolls and ponies but fun stuff all the same) Anyway, it was a fun day. We did very little but sometimes the best days are ones just spent being a family.
I am looking forward to all the cool things coming up. Sometimes it is nice to be reminded of the wonderful things in life through the eyes of someone discovering them for the first time.
